NaPodPoMo 09 - Day 16: Travel Woes

On today’s podcast, I talk about my travel woes from trying to get back home to San Marcos from a weekend in San Antonio. Getting to the bus station for a bus leaving at 7:10 then finding out it has been changed to 8:35 is never fun. Other than that it was a pretty good weekend. Next weekend I’ll be up in Lost Maples on a family trip. I’ve been planning these weekend trips for my family once a month since this summer and it allows everyone to see each other and catch up on things. I’ll have to go on an audio tour next Saturday for my NaPodPoMo post and I’ll also take some video and photos to mash up for day 23 or 24.

Note: I’ve been intending on putting some of my Spurscast posts in here as well, but I forgot to set that up, so my Friday post is likely going to be a Spurscast this week.

Test Post: Parker named Player of the Week

The NBA named Tony Parker the Western Conference Player of the Week for games played Monday, March 23 through Sunday, March 29.

His best game came against the Atlanta Hawks on March 25, where he scored 42 points to go along with 10 assists.

Parker averaged 27.5 points and 8.3 assists in leading San Antonio to a 3-1 week. Parker recorded back-to-back 30-point, 10-assist games on March 24 vs. Golden State and March 25 at Atlanta. On March 29 at New Orleans, Parker scored his 10,000th career point, becoming the fourth Spur player to accomplish the feat.

Parker has been the one constant for the Spurs this season with injuries affecting the team and win column since the start of the season. Aside from the scoring clinics he has put on, Parkers assist numbers have seen a major increase, especially in the last two months, which has even Tim Duncan mentioning Parker as an MVP candidate.
